Lost your Pet

Information and Advice

1. Create a LOST pet poster here at ThePetFile.com.  Print off as many posters as possible and display them on lamposts, noticeboards etc. Also, use our email service to email the poster to all your local friends, neighbours etc.
2. Get in touch with your local Animal Warden and/or Rescue Centre. Every local council has an Animal Welfare officer who is responsible for stray dogs roaming the local area. In most cases they are aware of any animal(s) that have been handed in within their area.
3. Visit or contact your local Police Station to see if your dog has been handed in. Please use the link above to find the telephone number of your local station.
4. Contact the Vets in your area to see if your pet has been handed in. Most vets have a lost and found book. They may take your pets details and your contact details in case they get notified your pet has been found.
5. If you haven't already done so, advertise your missing pet here on ThePetFile.com.
6. Most importantly, do not give up! Keep checking the ThePetFile.com everyday to see if your pet has been found. If you want you can click here to add this website to your favourites.
